How to play Letter Link

Start Letter Link by looking at the playing area and its controls. Find every target word from the six-letter bank. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Make your first input carefully and watch the result. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Make words from two letter sets: PLANET and STREAM. Each set uses a selected list of accepted answers.

Something to practise

Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules. Keep the objective visible.

What counts as success

Find every target word from the six-letter bank. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Start with a deliberate move.

Making your moves

  1. Select letters in order, each tile once per word.
  2. Submit the word.
  3. Clear letters to retry.
  4. Find all displayed word lengths.

Making selections and moves

Tap letters and Submit word. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

Try this example

PLANET makes PLANT, PLANE and PETAL. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Notice the change in the playing area.

One detail worth checking

Not every dictionary word is a target in this curated list. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
